Egmond-Binnen

The town centre (darkgreen) and the statistical district (lightgreen) of Egmond-Binnen in the municipality of Bergen (NH.).

Egmond-Binnen (52°36′N, 4°39′E) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Bergen, and lies about 8 km southwest of Alkmaar. Until 2001, Egmond-Binnen was part of the municipality of Egmond.

Egmond-Binnen was a separate municipality until 1978, when it was merged with Egmond aan Zee.[1]

In 2001, the town of Egmond-Binnen had 2371 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.39 km², and contained 880 residences.[2] The wider statistical area of Egmond-Binnen has a population of around 2800.[3]
