EG (magazine)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

EG is a magazine that publishes endgame studies and discusses various aspects of the endgame in chess. The letters "EG" stand for "End Game."

Arthur John Roycroft, an endgame composer and enthusiast, founded the magazine in 1965 and was its publisher for the first 102 issues, until 1991. Since then, the Dutch company Alexander Rueb Vereniging voor Schaakeindspelstudie (ARVES) has published the magazine, but Roycroft has stayed as editor-in-chief.

While many chess magazines include sections for endgame studies, EG is unique for its exclusive focus on the endgame.
