I am basically confused as to the address of the Mauseleum. Is it in Hove? is it in Brighton? Is it on Paston Street, Kemp Town? Is it on eastern terrace? When was it built? The mausoleum is in Brighton – on St. George's Road and Paston Place (at the corner), in Kemptown. Possibly Kemp Town in fact, depending on the narrowness of one's definition of the two! ;) The houses of Eastern Terrace are at the other end of Paston Place and the houses further inland which now adjoin the mausoleum were probably built either as service buildings or built a little later than the seafront houses. So far as I understand it, the mausoleum was originally at the bottom of the garden, rather than appearing to be part of a different street. It's nicely placed diagonally opposite a church, so feels rather like part of the graveyard too, given a little imagination to get past the modern busy road. I haven't got my copy of The Encyclopædia of Brighton (see references in Brighton article) to hand to check the date, but I'd be surprised if it were as late as 1892.

The confusion with Hove is probably due to the entirely separate memorial which is mentioned on the web page you cited. – Kieran T ^{(talk | contribs)} 21:08, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
