Edwin Upton Curtis

Edwin Upton Curtis (b. Roxbury, Massachusetts May 26, 1861 - d. March 28, 1922) was an American politician from Massachusetts who served as mayor of Boston in 1895. He was also the police commissioner during the 1919 Boston Police Strike which broke out when Curtis refused to permit the creation of a police union.
