Edwin Schlossberg

Edwin Arthur Schlossberg, founder and principal of ESI Design, is an internationally recognized designer, author and artist. For more than 25 years, Schlossberg has been designing interactive, participatory experiences, beginning in 1977 with the first hands-on learning environment in the U.S. for the Brooklyn Children's Museum. Today, he continues to shape the future of interactive design and publishes frequently on the subject, including the book Interactive Excellence: Defining and Developing New Standards for the Twenty-first Century.
His multidisciplinary design firm, ESI Design, is based in New York City and produces award-winning interactive experiences for both institutional and corporate clients. Their work includes:

All four of Schlossberg's grandparents were Russian Jews born near Poltava, Russia who arrived in the United States at Ellis Island.
Schlossberg is a graduate of Columbia University. His wife, Caroline Kennedy, is the daughter of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. They have two daughters and one son:
- Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, born in 1988, (named after her great-grandmother)
- Tatiana Celia Kennedy Schlossberg, born in 1990, (named after Edwin's grandmother and his former colleague, the lithographer Tatiana Grossman)
- John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, born in 1993 (named after his maternal grandfather and his mother's maternal grandfather)
