Edwin F. Kalmus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Edwin F. Kalmus (1893 – 1989) was an American music publisher. In 1926, he founded his eponymous publishing house in New York and it quickly became one of the largest self-contained publishing houses in the United States. In 1976, much the firm was acquired by Belwin-Mills, though the orchestral parts division remained independent and continues to produce materials from its new headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida. The Belwin-Mills controlled portion continues to publish music under the Kalmus name, much of it inexpensive reprints of old editions now in the public domain.
