The Edwards family of Chile is of English origin, and became financially and politically influential during the 19th century. It has played and still plays a significant role in Chilean politics, specially as owners of its most influencial newspaper chain, El Mercurio S.A.P.. Its most prominent members are:

  • Jorge Edwards Brown, British doctor and businessman, founder of the family
  • Agustín Edwards Ossandón, Chilean businessman
  • Agustín Edwards Ross, Chilean businessman and politician, purchased the Valparaiso edition of El Mercurio newspaper in 1880
  • Agustín Edwards Mac Clure, Chilean businessman, diplomat and politician, founder of the Santiago edition of El Mercurio newspaper
  • Raul Edwards Mac Clure, Chilean businessman and politician
  • Agustín Edwards Budge, Chilean businessman
  • Agustín Edwards Eastman, Chilean businessman
  • Cristian Edwards del Río, Chilean businessman and kidnapping victim
