Raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Edward Kerr graduated from Vanderbilt University before deciding to pursue a career born from his love of film and television. It wasn't long after moving to Hollywood that Kerr landed a holding deal at NBC, starred in two of the network's primetime series, followed by a starring role in the feature film Above Suspicion with Joe Mantegna and Christopher Reeve. Kerr earned critical praise as the lead in TNT feature Legalese, with James Garner, Gina Gershon, and Mary-Louise Parker. He also gained attention as the star of the festival comedy Confessions Of A Sexist Pig. Kerr later balanced such feature work with two co-starring roles in network television series. He played opposite Gina Gershon on David E. Kelley's ABC dramedy, Snoops and joined the cast of NBC's comedy series Three Sisters.
