[edit] Controversial curriculum
Throughout the Oslo peace process and especially during the al-Aqsa Intifada, the Palestinian Authority has approved of or turned a blind eye toward the education of children and teenagers in ways that seem to many to be designed to discourage peaceful negotiation to end the Arab-Israeli conflict. According to a 2006 study, Palestinian history textbooks contain passeges that allude to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and deny Israel its right to exist.
