Edna Hicks

Edna Hicks (1895 - 1925) was a blues musician. She was born in New Orleans. She was popular in the American midwest in the late 1910's and 1920's. She often appeared in Chicago and Cincinnati.

On August 16, 1925, she was cleaning a pot bellied stove with gasoline. The rags she was using ignited, and she burned to death. She was 29 years old.
