Edmilson Dias de Lucena (born May 29, 1968) simply known as Edy, was a Brazilian Portuguese professional footballer. Edy played as a forward for many clubs but he saved his best performances in Jeonbuk FC. Jeonbuk's supporters still have a happy recollection of him.


Edy is an inspiring and talented player. He got 14goals/ 3assists at his first season and 17goals/ 14assists at his second season in Jeonbuk. He proved himself the best of best striker in Korea. His play really inspired teammates and supporters during stay in Jeonbuk.


Unfortunately, Edy sufferd a heavy injury to the left Achilles' tehndon by Alpay Özalan on April 3, 2004. He couldn't play in 2004 season and went back to Portugal for medical care. Many fans were concerned about his condition and sent letters of sympathy to him. Edy also sent an answer through the website of Jeonbuk FC. He finally came back to Jeonbuk and played 3 games in 2005. Lots of people were really impressed by Edy at the time.
