Mystify85JEC (talk contribs) Hey ya'll, Well a little about myself, I have been editing pages on Wikipedia since August of 2006. I actually were doing them as an annynomous user for a while but did decide to get an account in November of 2006. So far, I have about 500 edits, including the one I did annoyomously. I don't know if I would like to shoot for being an Administrator by the end of the year or not. Right now I just like helping the site because I use it so much and it has been a wonderful took of for finding out information. Please feel free to address your comments, concerns on here or drop me a line anytime I'd love to hear from you!Mystify85JEC 21:25, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

  • OK, so I'm just going to review off of your contribs since you made an account. Well, if you want to get to RFA status, you need to acquaint yourself with many policies, which though you haven't shown a lack of knowledge, being a bit new as you are you might not know these. I would also suggest getting involved in some topics you know well and joining a related WikiProject. I would also recommend stepping up the level of patrolling, I would go for some RC patrolling as well, and getting involved in some afds. Work hard at it, and after you've got a good edit count (3000ish) consider running for adminship. DoomsDay349 03:44, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Review by delldot:
Hey Mystify! Maybe I shouldn't be reviewing you, since you gave me a barnstar, so I'm obviously biased toward you, but I'll try to be objective! Anyways, I think you're very nice. :)

  • You have a pretty sparse talk page, which could suggest either (or both) of two things: either you're not very involved in controversial articles (believe me, if you were editing Iraq War or Israel, your talk page would be longer) or you're very easy to get along with and no one has a problem with you! You're definitely not a trouble-maker, at least. :)
  • Your request on my talk page about the semi protection suggests that you may not be that familiar with policy, which is OK for a user with your amount of experience. I hope my declining it didn't discourage you from editing! Certainly no put-down intended. Anyway, you've mentioned that you don't intend to request adminship any time soon, which I think is wise until you gain more edits and experience with policy and editing.
  • Looks like you're helpful to new users! This is great, a very important thing to do in my (extremely unbiased ;]) opinion.
  • Rather than removing stuff from your talk page (or other talk pages, for that matter), you should archive the material. That way there's an easier-to-access record of your discussions, and other users won't think you have something to hide.
  • I like your policy toward conflict you state in Q2. I think it's great that you reinforce others' positive behavior. Seems like so much attention is paid to the negative and too many people overlook the positive. So good work.

Anyway, I think you're doing a great job, definitely on the right track. Hope to see you around more! delldot talk 00:15, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Well it would have to be the fact that I serve on the Welcoming Committee and I am a New Artcile Patroler. I don't know if many people know this, but the two go hand and hand. Instead of just tagging and article for speedy deletion or with other topics. I usually tag the article then give the new editor tips on how to improve the article. Also I enjoy welcoming new editors and let them know that I am here for them if they ever need help in starting out on Wikipedia.

  1. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future? Actually, when i have a disagreement with an editor over an article I tend to handle it as civil as possible. One thing I do not do is bash other editors, and I always leave a nice little smiley note to them to let them know that there is no hard feelings. Many times I have awarded Barnstars to my fellow Wikipedians just because they just seem to be so kind in disputes. Thats how I deal with them in the pass, and will deal with them in the future.
