Desperately trying to get this to work, why won't the {{{1}}} include the text when I write {{User:Editor at Large/Thank you|(I put my text here)}} ? Thanks in advance :-) — Editor at Large(speak) 01:02, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

- I think you may have misunderstood me there. {{User:Editor at Large/Thank you|text=whatever text}} would produce:

- No, I know that your code works -- I was just saying that I tried the {{{1}}} version (which I've never had to use 1=whatever or text=whatever for) and it didn't work. I tried your solution and it works perfectly, thanks a bunch! :-) — Editor at Large(speak) 01:24, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
