Edison Electrical Institute

The Edison Electrical Institute (EEI) is an organization that represents the interests of energy production companies in the United States.

It is notable is recent years for its involvement in questions of energy policy. While it has long been a champion of conservation measures, it has also consistently refused to consider the implications of global warming. It represents industry concerns with detailed rulemaking in connection with legislative requirements.

It publishes Electric Perspectives, a magazine for management, and Daily energy News, an email service. It holds an annual professional convention the the EEI Annual Convention/Expo, and many smaller meetings.
