Edgewater is the offical designation of area 77 by the City of Chicago. Andersonville is a sub neighborhood of Edgewater.
Andersonville is to Edgewater what Wrigleyville or Boys Town is to Lakeview.

[edit] Edgewater Beach Hotel Pieces

SOMETHING VERY INTERESTING THAT I AND MY FRINEDS OULD TRUELY LIKE TO FIND OUT!!~*~!!

?? ok i know that edge water beach hotel was a popular hotel in the 1900's but my question is...when they demolished it where did they put all the silver ware. i ask this because when my neighbors moved in like before anything was even in streamwood..the fist house here was being built..ok well when they were building the first house...we found spoons and forks that say edge water hotel...and all different kinds off stuff...that are rusty and old and probably from around the same time...so how did it all end up in streamwood??...i mean did this used to be the dumping ground..or what?? we still kept all the silverware and plates..its really interesting.........some people think its from the pioneers..some think its a dumping ground..some think it was a farming area or even river.......what was it??........i really want to find this out...someone please write back if u know?? this is no joke. thanks.

[edit] Article Movement

In order to streamline the style in which all the articles about the individual Chicago community areas on Wikipedia are written, this article needs to be renamed Edgewater, Chicago and not Edgewater (Chicago). The other Chicago neighborhood articles are likewise titled. --Gerald Farinas 03:32, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
