Edgar Ramon Martínez (born October 23, 1981 in Güigüe, Venezuela) is a relief pitcher in minor league baseball who plays for the Boston Red Sox organization. He bats and throws right handed.

Martínez was converted from catcher to a pitcher in July 2004 after unimpressive numbers at the plate. His fastball reaches 97 mph and he also throws a decent changeup and a slider. The transition to pitching showed signs of success later in 2005, when he posted a 2.10 ERA with seven saves and 46 strikeouts in 34.1 innings for Class-A Wilmington. Promoted to Double-A Portland, he finished with a 1.50 ERA, one save, and 13 strikeouts in 18.0 innings. After the season, he received the At The Yard Diamond in the Rough honors, as the Outstanding Breakout Player of the Year in the Boston Red Sox system.

Martínez, who is currently on the Red Sox 40-man roster, was selected for the 2006 All-Star Futures Game.
