From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Edechewe bamford (deche) (the Fisher-Man) is a folk hero of the Pitriver Madesi, a Native American tribe of the Pit River region of what is now northern California. Edechewe was born supernaturally from the cone of a sugar pine as the result of a magical rite performed by his father, micheal. After which his grandmother, Mertel, raised him.

Edechewe is a young, attractive man with smooth skin. From the time he was a toddler, Edechewe exhibited extraordinary hunting skills. Under the guidance of Yatch', his adventures culminated in the completion of a mission to propel the Chools (personifications of the moon and the stars) into the sky, along with their followers the North Star and the South Star.
