Edain Elessedil

Edain Elessedil is a character from The Wishsong of Shannara by Terry Brooks.

Son of Ander Elessedil, Edain is prince of the Elves when the Eastland is threatened by the Mord Wraiths. Impulsive, young, and eager, Edain jumps at the chance to travel with Jair Ohmsford and the rest of his companions: Garet Jax, Slanter, Elb Foraker, and Helt. Despite the protests of his Home Guard soldiers, he traveled with the company as the only Elf.

Edain proved a source of much needed good humor and positivity along the journey. Despite suffering injuries time and again, the valiant prince persevered. His leg was shattered during the final battle. Elb Foraker, also badly injured, stayed beside the wounded prince.
