Ed Feighan

Edward F. Feighan (born 1947 in Lakewood, Ohio). was a U.S. politician, popularly known as Ed Feighan. He served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives and a Democratic Party congressman from 1983 until 1993, serving the 19th District of the state of Ohio.

Feighan was first elected to public office as a State Representative from Cleveland, Ohio in 1972. He served for six years in the Ohio Legislature until his election as a Cuyahoga County Commissioner, a position he held for four years. Feighan attended Cleveland State University College of Law while serving in the Legislature and received his law degree in 1978. Feighan ran for mayor of the city in 1977, but lost to now-congressman Dennis Kucinich.

Feighan is currently the Chairman, President and CEO of a publicly-traded insurance company, ProCentury Corporation (NASDAQ: PROS, and lives in Columbus, Ohio.
