Ed Coleman (radio personality)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ed 'Biff' Coleman is a radio reporter/host for the New York Mets on WFAN. He also did some radio work for the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics, as well as the 1994 Winter Olympics. His big break came in 1982, when he was the sports announcer during morning drive at WCAP, Lowell, Massachusetts after a stint at the short-lived Enterprise Radio Network. Coleman became a beloved person in the Lowell community, where fans would line up outside the radio station as Coleman arrived at 6:13:30 for his 6:15:00 sports report. A fund-raising drive has been launched for the Ed Coleman Scholarship. Organizers say it will be given to "the Lowell high school athlete who performs at the highest levels with a minimum of practice."
