There's a quote in the third paragraph about what the canons of the Orthodox Church state, but the quote doesn't have ending quotation marks. At what point do we stop giving the Church's statement about itself and return to our (supposedly neutral) reporting on the issue? Gentgeen 01:08, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

OK, if that's the end of the quote, then the next sentence is rather POV. We should attribute that opinion to a scholar or a group, rather than stating it as fact. Gentgeen 02:20, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

I googled that next sentence with quoation marks around it, and at a quick glance it looks as if the only hits are on pages that may have been copied from Wikipedia. So it's probably not part of the quote. If it's not, I'd leave it there, somewhat rephrased to make it NPOV, maybe saying that that's what the Eastern Orthodox Church intends.
