Echo Fm is a New Zealand radio station that plays most genres of music. It was started up in early 2006 as 'Springs FM' but changed its name soon after. Echo Fm aims to further invest in transmission equipment as to improve range. Playlists vary from DnB to Electronica to Jazz and even Ibiza; Rock, Alt, Punk and others are played less frequently.

Ads seldom appear on Echo Fm which is good for the listeners as it means more music. The aim of Echo Fm is to be different. In Auckland there are far too many commercial stations that broadcast 50% music, and 50% ads and other rubbish. It is Echo Fm's aim to create a station which plays over 90% music and perhaps 8% Special Programmes. This leaves only 2% for ads. This gives hope to the frequency nomads after the sad closing down of Channel Z. Echo Fm currently broadcasts to:

Offers for re-transmission of Echo Fm elsewhere in New Zealand are always welcome.
