Echo Bay is a community in the Ontario township of Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional, near Sault Ste. Marie. The community is located on the shores of the Echo Bay and Lake George.

The town is home to a big loonie, similar to the Big Nickel in Greater Sudbury, around 260 km eastward. Robert-Ralph Carmichael, one of the Canadian dollar coin's designers, lives near Echo Bay.

There is a small public school located about 5 minutes drive eastward from this popular area landmark named "Laird Central Public School". As a way to inform my grade 7/8 class at this school about research on the internet and some of the precautions that must be taken, I've included this information as an example of how easy it can be for anyone to add information to websites.
