Ecaterina Daniela Cuibus (26 October 1968–) is a mountaineer and the first Romanian woman mountaineer to climb K2[citation needed].

Founding member, vice-president of the “ Professional Climbers Club of Romania “ and of the “Sportive Climbers Club of Romania” , the last being recognized and certified by the Ministry of Sports . She has been practicing mountain climbing since she was 17 years old. Her record contains the majority of the medium and maximum difficulty climbing routs in the country both during the winter and summer. Since 1990 she is founding member of the “Romanian Alpine Club” being trained by the Romanian master of climbing – Mr. Nicolae Baticu.

She is the first woman in the history of mountain climbing from Romania and the 7th in the world who tried to climb and conquer the Himalayan K2 8611m colossus from Karakorum, through two consecutive expeditions in the years 2001-2002. she is team mate with Bogdan Cuibus since 1990.
