[edit] Summary

Looking across the Third Ward from the top of the Earl St. staircase, over the top of the Park Tower, toward the University. In the middle on the right side of the image is the Grace Lutheran Syverson Home. The tall buildings on the top of the hill in the distance are the Towers (2 connected UWEC dormitories, the buildings bracketed by dark stripes in their middles and on their ends), and half-hidden behind them, Sacred Heart Hospital, which has a sand-colored stripe up the middle, and a sand-colored stripe on the end. The smoke stack that appears to be attached to the end of the hospital (actually about a block and a half away...ah, parallax) is the University's heating plant. Some other UWEC buildings are relatively visible in the image as well...Hibbard is stuck in the tree on the left, the McKintyre Library is the reddish blob to the right of that tree's branches, and the whatchamajiggy Fine Arts Ctr. is sitting "under" the right-hand end of Towers.
