I think the Ebionite Jewish Community article should be merged with the Ebionite Restoration Movement article into a new article about new religious movements claiming to be followers of Jesus. --Loremaster 23:35, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

It was my intention to work with other editors to create a more general article about modern Ebionites, rather than just the EJC. I suggest we move in that direction by soliciting help from other editors to expand the article, as was done on the Nazarene page. There is a precedent for Wiki pages on new religious movements, as one already exists for Gnosticism in modern times. However, merging the article with the Ebionite Restoration Movement article would be hard for me to stomach after all the personal attacks I have endured from the editors who belong to this group. While the Ebionite Jewish Community article has survived a deletion debate, the Ebionite Restoration Movement article has been deleted so this issue of a merge is now moot. --Loremaster 14:23, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Improvements to the article

Despite the deletion of the ERM stub, I think a more general article about modern Ebionites should be considered with the EJC paragraph as a subset. Some suggestions for titles are "Modern Ebionite Movements" or "Ebionite Restoration Movements" or "Ebionism in Modern Times". Any thoughts? I also hope that the AfD debate narrows the scope of the article so that we don't have to deal with Moonbeams calling themselves Ebionites. Ovadyah 20:42, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
