EverQuest II: East (commonly abbreviated as EQE) is an edition of EverQuest II (The Original) developed for Eastern Asia. Sony Online Entertainment developed and shipped EQE on April, 2005. There're some proprietary missions for EQE.
There're a lot of problems in this edition. For example, the entities model is unavailable for some clothes and armor. Even though it is developed for Asians, many Asian players consider this edition a failure compared to SOE's other work.

[edit] Settings
EQE uses settings very similar to those from the original version, Gamania and SOE added some entities only for Eastern Version.
[edit] Voices
EQE still continues to use the English dialogue, though it is an optional feature.
[edit] Business
EQE failed in Asia. Gamania declared it will terminate on March 29, 2006.See The business status of Original
