[edit] The street gang Eastside

Eastside Long Beach is the home of several street gangs, including Black Crips gangs, Hispanic gangs, and Asian gangs. )There are no Bloods gangs in Long Beach even though there are in bordering cities like Compton and Los Angeles.)

There are Black gangs such as the Insane Crips and Rollin' 20's Crips, Hispanic Sureño gangs such as the Eastside Longo 13, and the Barrio Pobre13, and Asian gangs such as the Eastside Asian Boyz.

Rappers Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Nate Dogg, as well as Snoop Dogg's Tha Eastsidaz, are all from EastSide Long Beach. The VIP Records store which has been featured in music videos by Snoop Dogg and other rap music artists is at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Eastside Long Beach. The corner of "21 and Lewis" that Warren G mentions in "Regulate" is very close to VIP Records.
