Eastside, Flint
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eastside is a neighborhood in Flint, Michigan. While "East Flint" is generally considered to be anywhere east of the Flint River and north of I-69, Eastside is most often considered to be the area bounded on the west by I-475, the east and north by Dort Highway, and on the south by Robert T. Longway[1]. The Eastside is also known as its "State Streets" since most of its roads are named after U.S. states from Kansas in the south to Utah at the furthest north. The neighborhood is also sometimes associated with the Northeast Side and Potter School Neighborhood to the northeast, Thrift City to the southeast, and East Village due south. Neighborhood residents almost universally identify themselves as East Siders.
