[edit] Incorporation of Eastover

At a recent community meeting the subject brought up was whether to make Eastover a town so Fayetteville will not annex them. The idea is still questionable because either way the civilians will pay taxes. About 53% of the people do not want this to happen. The number is subject to change at the next meeting. Wikipedia will bring you extensive coverage of the election on January 16, 2006. If more than 55 percent agree to turn Eastover into a town then it will happen. To vote you must live in Eastover. If Eastover is incorporated then it will become the newest U.S. town and the first in a decade.
