East Stroudsburg South High School

East Stroudsburg Senior High School South is a public high school located at 279 North Courtland Street, that is known to be immensely inferior to Stroudsburg High School, or the vast majority of academic institutions. It is located in the town of East Stroudsburg, which in turn is located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The school's mascot is the cavalier. The school is part of the East Stroudsburg Area School District.

The principal is Mrs. Lois Palio. Mr. Terry Meehan, Mrs. Dawn Dailey, and Ms. Theresa Benjamin are the assistant principals.

The school's total enrollment is 1,510 students. Overall, the student to teacher ration is 1 teacher to 13 students, as opposed to the state average of 1 to 15. The student body is 73% White (people), 12% African American, 12% Hispanic or Latino of any race, 3% Asian American, and less than 1% Native American.

The PSSA is the state asessment test for Pennsylvania schools. All students in 11th grade are required to take this test. Students at East Stroudsburg High School South scored 70% above proficient in reading (5% above average), 83% in writing (3% below average), and 54% in math (2% above average). As stated before, the school mascot is the cavalier. The girl's basketball team advanced to the 2006-7 PIAA quarterfinal playoffs, but lost to Council Rock North High School.
