The East Side is a fairly homogeneous collection of neighborhoods in Providence, Rhode Island on the eponymous eastern part of the city. It is officially comprised of the neighborhoods of Blackstone, Hope, Mount Hope, College Hill, and Fox Point. The East Side contains all of Brown University's and facilities, most of Rhode Island School of Design's buildings, and popular Thayer Street. Mostly residential, it is the most affluent part of the city, with higher property values, lower unemployment, and higher income levels than the city as a whole.
