East Renton Highlands, Washington

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

East Renton Plateau is an affluent area located between Issaquah and Renton, Washington. This area is also a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States.

Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, East Renton Plateau ranks 62nd of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked.

This area has major high-end construction projects which include many new middle to upper-class residential communities and redevelopment. Many speculate that this area will become the next main area for growth in king county. Developers will shift their focus from the Sammamish Plateau to the East Renton Plateau. Because of this, Issaquah School District's Liberty Senior High School will undergo extensive modernizations and additions in the next few years.

The city of Renton is looking to annex a large part of this area within the next few years, but a recent vote as of Feb. 7th turned down annexation.
