East Lulworth
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
East Lulworth is a hamlet in the Purbeck district of Dorset, England, consisting of 17th century thatched cottages and situated nine miles east of Dorchester near Lulworth Cove. The village is now dominated by the barracks of the Royal Armour Corps who train in the Purbeck Hills.
Of particular interest is that it contains, in the nearby Weld Estate Castle Park grounds, the first Roman Catholic church to be built (in the form of a Greek mausoleum in 1786) since the time of the Protestant Reformation.
