East Killara is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.


East Killara is a bushland, peaceful and quiet area. There is a small shopping centre containing the bakery, newsagent, chemist, liquor store, restaurant, barber and a supermarket.

The suburb has the states most exclusive public school, Killara High School. The area is considered to be Sydney's most expensive suburb with huge mansions and wealthy people. The main road is Koola Avenue which extends from Birdwood Avenue to Albany Cresent.

The median price range for East Killara is 1.31 million as of 2006 (Sydney Property Guide 2006)
