East Central German
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
East Central German is the non-Franconian sub-group of Central German dialects, themselves part of High German:
- Upper Saxon German is a dialect spoken in the majority of the modern German Free States of Saxony.
- Thuringian is a dialect of Thuringia.
- Südmärkisch is a dialect of Berlin-Brandenburg, whose best-known form is the Berlinisch dialect of Berlin. The notable feature of this dialect is that it includes both Low German and High German elements.
