East Catholic High School is a college preparatory high school in Manchester, Connecticut. The parochial school was founded in 1961. As of 2007 the school had 675 students in grades 9–12, with 47 teachers.

During the 1988-89 school year, East Catholic High School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education[1], the highest award an American school can receive from the United States Department of Education.[2][3]

East Catholic High School has won 32 state championships since 1965, with baseball titles coming in 1996 and 1997.[citation needed] Andy Baylock, the retired head coach of the University of Connecticut baseball team, was the head football coach for this high school 1962–1964. In 1998 he was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. Rob Penders, the head baseball coach for St. Edward’s University, was a two-time all-state shortstop at East Catholic.
