East Aurora High School is a public four-year high school located in Aurora, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of East Aurora District 131.

District 131 has the distinction of being the “first” school district in Illinois, becoming a charter district April 30, 1847. The district was recognized by the State in 1851.

In 2005, East Aurora had an average composite ACT score of 16.6 and graduated 62.0% of its senior class. The average class size is 17.3. East Aurora has not made Adequate Yearly Progress on the Prairie State Achievements Examination, a state test part of the No Child Left Behind Act.[1]
The staff is comprised of 178 teachers, of which 60% hold an advanced degree.[2]

East Aurora has 23 athletic teams, of 11 boys and 12 girls teams, which compete in the Upstate Eight Conference and Illinois High School Association. East Aurora's mascot is the Tomcats. Teams include football, tennis, baseball, softball, bowling, volleyball, track and field, basketball and soccer.

East Aurora offers dozens of opportunities for students participation in extracurricular activities. Activities include drama, Speculum (yearbook), guitar club and family focus.
