East Asian Games

The East Asian Games is a multi-sport event held every four years since 1993 among athletes from East Asian countries. The participating teams include:
- People's Republic of China [1]
- Guam
- Hong Kong, China [2]
- Japan
- Kazakhstan [3]
- DPR Korea (North Korea)
- Korea (South Korea)
- Macau, China [4]
- Mongolia
- Chinese Taipei [5]
These countries and territories are mostly in northern part of East Asia, and there is a similar event called the South East Asian Games for Southeast Asian countries.

Currently Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) and Mongolia have shown their intention to bid for the 2013 East Asian Games.
