Talk:Earth-717

A lot of the prose in this article needs work done to it. However, I only bought one of the six issues so can't really help. Satan's Rubber Duck 12:42, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

I think I have them all, so perhaps I can help. What do you need?--RedKnight 20:15, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Earth-717 vs Earth 717

A common rule of thumb when listing Earth designations; the hyphen is used when the number is simply a number, no hypehn is used when the number is a year

For example:The designation number for Earth 1602 is Earth-311. Arno Stark the Iron Man of Earth 2020 is from Earth is from Earth-8410, but the recent Tony Stark / Iron Man who appeared in Exiles is from Earth-2020.

[edit] Marvel's confirmation.

I was wondering if Marvel has confirmed this Earth as when I was talking to one of the Handbook guys about this Earth they stated it's an unconfirmed one. And that the What If? stories are in fact different Earth Designates. Earth-717 is the homeworld of the boy who is watching the events unfold. Originalsinner 01:37, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

It was my understanding that the boy was from 616 - there'd be no point having the viewpoint for What If stories already being an alternate universe; and Uatu was always the Watcher of 616 in the old stories. (But I'm not saying that the boy couldn't be from Earth-717, I just don't think there'd be any reason for it.) And the six stories being seperate universes makes no sense - the boy uses only one method to access all the information (the stories), so it's all coming from the same place which would only make sense if, y'know, they all were the same place whether that is designation 717 or not.
