Earth terminal complex

Earth terminal complex: In satellite communications systems, the assembly of equipment and facilities necessary to integrate an Earth terminal into a communications network.

The Earth terminal complex includes the Earth terminal and its support equipment and any required interconnect facilities and their support equipment. It does not include facilities at the site that are not necessary to establish and integrate the satellite links with the network.
