Earphoria is a live CD soundtrack of the Smashing Pumpkins' Vieuphoria. While the video has been widely available since its initial release, the CD was only unofficially released in a very limited number (~1000) of promo CD copies in 1994. It wasn't until the rerelease of Vieuphoria as a DVD on November 26, 2002 that Earphoria was made largely available to the public. The CD contains the same recordings of all of the live songs in Vieuphoria, most of them from Siamese Dream, and also includes extended versions of the music used in the video interludes. "French Movie Theme" was originally developed during Siamese Dream recording sessions in 1992 and "Why Am I So Tired" was originally developed during the Gish recording sessions in 1991; whether the other interlude tracks predate the video or were written for it is unknown. Earphoria is also different from Vieuphoria in that the tease of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is included in "Silverfuck"; Vieuphoria edits it out (due to prohibitive licensing costs).
