Earl of Dumbarton

Earl of Dumbarton was a peerage title in the Peerage of Scotland created on 9 March 1675 for the younger brother of the 1st Earl of Selkirk, Major General Lord George Douglas. The earl was also Lord Douglas of Ettrick (Scotland, 1675) which he had as subsidiary title. By the death of 2nd Earl the titles became extinct in 1749.
