Earl Lennox is a politician in Ontario, Canada. He has been married to his wife Barbara, for 30 years. They currently reside in East Garafraxa, where they own and operate a 55 acre horse farm. Mr. Lennox was first introduced to horse racing at the age of 7 and bought his first horse in 1964, while he was still in high school. His achievements in harness racing have been recognized by both the Les Ehrlich Trophy (Ontario Harness Horse Association) and the Canadian Standardbred Achievement Award.

Mr. Lennox is currently running for the Liberal Nomination in the riding of Dufferin-Caledon. One of his first goals as MPP will be to reconnect Highway 9 through Dufferin County; to take the cost of maintaining the highway back to the Ministry of Transportation.

Dufferin-Caledon has twice been the location for new PC party leaders to parachute into and Mr. Lennox promises to turn the riding into a “no-fly zone” for them, while they wait for a "better" job in Toronto.

[edit] Political History

Mr. Lennox was first elected as Mayor of the Township of East Garafraxa in 2000 and served on the Dufferin County Council. He was re-elected in 2003 and in 2006 was elected Warden for Dufferin County. He is currently seeking the Ontario Liberal Party’s Nomination in the riding of Dufferin-Caledon (previously Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey).
