From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The title of Earl Coningsby was created in the Peerage of Great Britain in 1719 and became extinct upon the death of 2nd Countess in 1761. The 1st Earl had been created Baron Coningsby in the Peerage of Ireland in 1692 and Baron Coningsby in the Peerage of Great Britain in 1716. Upon his death, the 1716 barony became extinct, the Irish barony passed to his heir-male, while the earldom passed to his daughter Margaret, already created (1717), Viscountess Coningsby and Baroness of Hampton Court.
