Earby is a town in the North-West of England, near Barnoldswick and about five miles north of Colne. The town was an urban district from 1909 to 1974 when it became part of the Pendle district of the non-metropolitan county of Lancashire,
The town is historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire.
Other smaller surrounding towns include Thornton-in-Craven and Sough.
