EAR (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Experimental Audio Research is a group primarily comprised of Peter Kember (a.k.a. Sonic Boom), formerly of Spacemen 3. Collaborators have included Kevin Shields of rock band My Bloody Valentine, among others, though it is generally considered a Kember solo project. Commonly shortened to E.A.R. or EAR, the collective is one of Kember's several post-Spacemen 3 projects, which also include Spectrum, as well albums released under the Sonic Boom moniker.

The Koner Experiment is a collection of 10 untitled tracks recorded with the help of sound manipulator Tomas Koner.

Data Rape features Speak & Spell toys rewired so as to be able to be "played" as semi-musical instruments. Live At The Dream Palace documents a November 1998 concert in New Orleans using only Speak & Spells as instruments.
