Ean Schuessler

Ean Schuessler is co-founder of Brainfood, a Dallas, Texas-based digital media consultancy. He is a long-time participant in the Debian project, and has maintained several Free Java packages and collaborated in the creation of the Debian Social Contract. Schuessler also served as President of Software in the Public Interest, an umbrella organization that holds property and provides other services for Debian and other Free Software organizations. In his spare time, Schuessler is active in the Texas art scene and collaborates in art events such as the notorious "Disturbathon" with his brother Erik Schuessler, famous roboticist David Hanson, John Freeman and underground authors Steve Aydt and Forrest Jackson among many others.


Schuessler and fellow employees competed in the 2001 and 2002 seasons of Battlebots, achieving a ranking of 35 in the middle class weight group.
