Eamonn Walsh

Eamonn Walsh (born September 20, 1945) is an Irish politician of the Irish Labour Party. He was a Teachta Dála for Dublin South West from 1992 to 1997.

A former art teacher, Walsh was elected to Dáil Éireann for Dublin South West during the swing to Labour in the 1992 general election, after an unsuccessful attempt in the 1987 election. Like other Labour TDs elected in 1992, he lost his seat during the 1997 election. His seat was taken by Conor Lenihan of Fianna Fáil. Walsh unsuccessfully contested a Seanad Éireann seat in the same year. He also failed to win a seat in the 2002 election.

He was elected a local councillor in 1991 for Terenure and since 1999 he has been a local councillor for Terenure-Rathfarnham.
