Eagle Lake is also an alpine lake in the Southern Sierra Nevada near Mineral King in Sequoia National Park. The lake can be reached by a three-and-a-half mile hike from Mineral King Valley and lies at 10,000 feet above sea level.

Eagle Lake is also a lake in Lassen County approximately 15 miles North of Susanville, California. It is the second largest natural (not man made) lake entirely in the state of California. Home to Osprey and Bald Eagles, from which it gets it's name, it also is home to the Eagle Lake trout which grow to very large sizes. The average size of these trout are about 1 1/2 pounds and can exceed 10 pounds. It is said that the alkaline waters of the lake contribute to the size of these fish.
